We are a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of literary and creative content in Indonesia. Collaborating with the publishing industry stakeholders, government, private companies, as well with communities; we have initiated and organized various educational and inspirational programs that encourage the creation of sustainable literary ecosystems. We strive to create high quality literary products, creating an accessible path for the communities to reach various reading materials, and improving the literary role in Indonesia to contribute to global issues.
Since becoming the Guest of Honor in Frankfurt Book Fair 2015, Indonesia has gained an increased attention for its publishing and creative content industry. Each year, more works from Indonesian authors are getting published abroad, more inquiries were made.
To boost the growing industry, in early 2020, 17000 Pulau Imaji Foundation was established. It is intended to bridge and facilitate the collaboration between authors, illustrator, creative content creators and publishing industry shareholders both local and foreign.
Improving the literary in Indonesia is a huge challenge, and to tackle numerous issues we are working closely with various government institutions and private sector. Including Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and The Government of Jakarta.
We are confident that together, we can raise Indonesian literary and creative content to world class level.
